Revealing the building blocks of the universe

Experts and students at the ECT* study all kinds of subjects related to the highly technical sphere of nuclear physics. Some examples include nuclear reactions, quantum chromodynamics, astrophysics and particle physics.

Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies - IRVAPPFondazione Bruno Kessler

IRVAPP @ FBK helps analyse and improve public policies for work, education, families, health, welfare, industry and development.

It trains staff, and checks how well government policies are benefiting the lives of people.

The Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies

IRVAPP @ FBK is a research center primarly aimed at carrying out public policies analysis using counterfactual impact evaluation tools. In particular, it conducts evaluation research in the following policy areas: Active and passive labour, Education, Family, Health, Welfare, Industry, Development, Culture.

Center for Religious Studies - ISRFondazione Bruno Kessler

Religion and innovation

The Center for Religious Studies at FBK explores the relationship between religion and innovation in society.

We engage with innovation in religion, through texts, traditions, doctrine and institutions, science, technology, business, politics and the law.

Italian-German Historical Institute - ISIGFondazione Bruno Kessler

Italian-German history

The Italian-German Historical Institute promotes study in modern and contemporary Italian and German history.

It has one of the most comprehensive specialized libraries for Italian-German historical studies.

The Italian-German Historical Institute in Trento, since 1975

ISIG @ FBK research activity is articulated in projects. A common research line deals with the theme of "Mediatization of History" from the modern age to the end of the twentieth century, which is of interest to the entire research team and has a distinctly interdisciplinary and transnational nature.

Being the result of a more than 56 years history, through 2 scientific hubs, 7 research centers, 410 researchers, 2 specialized libraries, 7 laboratories, FBK aims to results of excellence in science and technology with particular emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and to the applicative dimension.

We achieve this thanks to our constant attention to collaborations and exchange activities with research organizations, both institutional and corporate, national and international, which extend our innovation capability and involve the community and the local economy in the circulation of knowledge and technologies.
