In viticulture, the place of origin is very important. The characteristics of the soil and climate impact the texture and flavor of the wine. To this end, the province of Mendoza, and the region of Cuyo in general, are popular locations for this activity.

At 3,600 feet (1,100 m) above sea level, the soil, grapevine, and even the texture of the wines are influenced by the river. Millions of years ago, the Tunuyán River created the soils of the valley and loaded them with calcium, an important chemical compound for the texture of the wines, through its alluvium.

Taking care of the grape harvest is tiring work that pumps you full of adrenaline. Different climate elements like the zonda (a strong, warm, and dry wind in the Cuyo region), winds, snow, or hail can completely jeopardize production on the finca.
