大师与庙堂系列展之二：新生期（1949--1976）    1949年随着新中国的成立，国立艺专的历史也翻开了崭新的一页。1950年，学院更名为中央美术学院华东分院，隶属于华东文化部领导。至文革全面爆发之前，学院能够相对正常的进行各种教学活动的时间，也只有短短十余年。虽然时间不长，但在我院的历史上有特殊的地位。这一时期，由于处于社会政治、文化的巨变阶段，学院发展的方方面面也不可避免的具有强烈的时代烙印。    当时学院的教学力量主要由三部分构成，一是以林风眠为代表的旧国立艺专的老教师，包括黄宾虹、潘天寿、关良、雷圭元、程曼叔、萧传玖等；二是以江丰为代表的解放区美术家，包括刘开渠、莫朴、倪贻德、彦涵等；三是解放初期由于院系调整调或学院自行聘请来的教师，如颜文樑、沙孟海、陆俨少等。

苏联现实主义风格的影响    新中国成立后，中苏两国展开了全方位的合作与交流。由于国际、国内环境所迫，中国民众无法接触西方资本主义国家的文化艺术，苏联及东欧社会主义国家成了人们了解异域文化的唯一窗口。西方现代主义艺术遭到唾弃和批判，苏俄现实主义的写实手法成为中国艺术唯一典范。苏联文艺所具有垄断性优势，对普通民众影响巨大，伴随着几代中国人成长。此时，各类苏联美术展览络绎来华，艺术家也前来讲座教学，大量出版苏联美术作品、美术理论、美术史、美术技法方面书籍，成为中国美术工作者重要的学习资源，其影响深刻而绵长。

浙派人物画    解放初期，新国画运动蓬勃发展，中国画通过一系列的改造发生了巨大的变化，其最突出的成果体现于写实水墨人物画的崛起，其中尤以“浙派人物画”影响深远。成就浙派人物画的因素包含：现实主义的情怀，这是对普罗大众的热爱，是艺术家深入生活、表现工农兵的时代要求，培养了他们处理现实题材的能力；融合中西的艺术之路，既对西方绘画采取开放的态度，接受正规而系统的素描训练，提高了画家的写实水平；又继承了深厚而悠久的水墨传统，强化了他们的笔墨感觉，开拓了传统水墨画法表现当代人物的新画风。浙派人物画的孕育与诞生，虽然与其所处的社会条件与时代大背景是密切相关的。但对中国美术学院学术传统的薪火传承，是浙派人物画蜚声全国的最重要的原因之一，更是它长盛不衰的持久动力。

传统民族艺术的回归    1957年以后，随着文化政策和思潮的转变，对传统民族文化有了新的定位和理解。1959年潘天寿再次出任院长，他对于学院能够坚守传统、警惕民族虚无主义的消极影响起到了重要作用。调入了一批传统绘画的大家，中国画实行了分科教学。沙孟海、陆维钊先生是我国第一个高等书法教育的创始者，顾坤伯、陆俨少则对我院山水画教学的发展居功至伟。他们的创作，有选择的遵循了传统绘画中优秀的规范，同时因为对社会生活的热情关注，能够“传统出新”，很多作品成为美术史上的经典之作。
