Hwajeong Museum is an outstanding art space where east asian art collections from Tibet, Korea, China, and Japan have come at one place in Seoul, Korea. Hwajeong Museum was established by Dr. Hahn Kwang-ho who has collected a variety of artifacts for more than 40 years as the founder.
Since its establishment in 1999, it has provided various exhibitions and lectures such as Tibetan Art (1999), Chinese Art Collection of the Hahn Cultural Foundation (2000), Art of Thankga- Tibetan Buddhist Art (Japan, 2001), Fans from Europe and East Asia (2002), Tibetan Legacy (The British Museum, London, 2003), Gazing Upon Asian Art (2006), LUST (2010), Chinese Craftworks : Everyday Life in Ming & Qing Dynasty (2011), Tibetan Legacy (2012), All Flowers and Plant (2014), Animals (2015), Luxurious Pleasure of Hwajeong (2016), BON APPETIT!(2017), and Hwajeong lecture in art history (2006~).
