Deploy - Air-deployed, ready-to-use concrete water tank
Designed by Paul Mendieta, 'Deploy' won the Design for Social Good Category in the Global Design Graduate Show in collaboration with Gucci 2020.
'Deploy' aims to help rural communities in developing countries to access clean water, by providing them with an affordable and more sustainable option which adapts to their water storage needs. Deploy is the first-ever air-deployed, ready-to-use concrete water tank.
Each tank has been designed to supply 500 to 2000 people, with a capacity of 40 000 litres. 'Deploy' with its patent-pending technology is breaking the pre-established notion of concrete infrastructures being inflexible, bulky and heavy as it can be folded, and then packaged.

Its modularity and transportability means it can be shipped globally, which is something never seen before for concrete technologies or in the water tank industry.
