Wianki Music Festival

Free event combining outdoor concerts with ancient Slavic traditions. Wianki coincides with the start of the summer  holidays, taking the format of Fête de la Musique and bringing music to all corners of the city.

New Year’s Eve in Krakow

Krakow is the perfect city to usher in the new year. Until 2019, the special night featured events under the starry sky at the Main Square, with performances by Polish and international pop music as well as other events such as dances throughout the city.

Sacrum Profanum

Is one of the oldest festivals organised by KBF, running since 2003. The socially-engaged event cherishes contemporary music, provides education, brings the most important trends in contemporary culture to the fore and brings together a community of likeminded people.

Sacrum Profanum

Is a space for presenting new music (from 20th-century contemporary music, via avantgarde, all the way to indie classical), and as well as concerts, it is open to other genres such as opera, exhibitions and audio art installations, and accompanying events.

We “profane” classics, tradition and conservatism, and “sacralise” experimentations, avantgarde and curiosity. By building bridges between independent and academic music, we bring these worlds together.

Misteria Paschalia Festival

One of the most important early music festivals in Europe, Misteria Paschalia is held every year during Holy Week.

Film Music Festival in Krakow

One of the most important film music festivals in the world, held since 2008 and organised by KBF and RMF Classic. It stands out with the highest quality performances of music from films, TV dramas, video games and animations in the presence of world-famous composers.

ICE Classic Cycle

Partnership for Music

An important element of KBF’s activities is supporting local artists including talented music producers, composers, arrangers and DJs, as well as music clubs and organisers of small gigs.

In 2018, 2020 and 2021, dozens of concerts received financial support on the initiative of the City of Krakow and KBF. Awarded artists include the JANKA duo (Daniel Drumz and Hatti Vatti), the Dziewczęta ensemble, Joanna Słowińska and Asia Nawojska.

Opera Rara

One of the projects showcasing the sheer diversity of operatic styles has been the Opera Rara Festival, organised by KBF until 2021.
