Festival Branding

An important element of our work when preparing events is creating eye-catching visuals. We work closely with some of Poland’s best artists, designers and illustrators. Take a look at a selection of our designs accompanying festivals organised by KBF in recent years.

Wianki - Festival of Music 2022

The captivating branding for the Wianki - Festival of Music 2022 was created by Cracovian photographer Michał Ramus in collaboration with a design studio in Łódź.

Michał’s photographs, capturing the Slavic spirit, were the starting point for the branding prepared by Aleksandra Woźniak and Hanna Niemierowicz from the Polkadot Studio.

Megabit Bomb Festival 2022

In September 2022, Kraków hosted the second Megabit Bomb Festival. The event’s branding was designed by Victor Soma – printmaker, press illustrator and designer of branding for some of Poland’s largest festivals, institutions, theatres and companies.

Miłosz Festival 2022

The branding has been created by Natalia Bieniek, graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and our colleague from KBF’s Design and Branding Department. Natalia says she has been painting for as long as she can remember, and her greatest inspiration is Henri Matisse.

Sacrum Profanum Festival 2018

The unusual branding for the Sacrum Profanum Festival was prepared by Patrycja Podkościelny – illustrator and printmaker using traditional techniques. The artist’s distinctive imagery was created by combining two different painting styles.

Sacrum Profanum Festival 2022

The 2022 contemporary music festival Sacrum Profanum, held under the banner “Endangered Species”, was as engaged and experimental as ever. The branding was designed by the multi-award winning Cracovian artist and graphic designer for film and music festivals Piotr Gruszczyński.

The branding for the Krakow Film Music Festival in 2009, 2014, 2015 and 2017 was created by Łukasz Markiewicz, acclaimed designer of exhibitions and graphic designer for films and events.

Krakow Film Music Festival 2012

The branding for the Krakow Film Music Festival in 2012 was designed by the Warsaw-based designer and illustrator Maciej Wolański. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 2008. His works include album and poster designs, logotypes and illustrations.

When we were planning the branding for the Krakow Film Music Festival in 2018, we focused on state-of-the-art technologies and games. We aimed for clarity and functionality of the message, so we entrusted the task to the highly experienced designer Krzysztof Iwański.

The branding for the Misteria Paschalia Festival in 2021 was prepared by Witold Siemaszkiewicz – a multi-award winning Cracovian designer and typographer, graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków with close ties to the KTO Theatre.

New Year’s Eve in Kraków 2018

One of the most fascinating visual settings for New Year’s Eve in Kraków was designed by the Warsaw-based multidisciplinary visual designer Beata Śliwińska, best known for her works created using analogue collage. 

She has designed numerous album and book covers, illustrations and branding for myriad cultural events.

Katarzyna Bogucka prepared another captivating branding for New Year’s Eve in Kraków. The artist is a winner of numerous prizes, including the Bologna Ragazzi Award in the Books & Seeds category.

Conrad Year 2017

The visual settings of the celebrations of Conrad Year were prepared by Mateusz Kołek. The Cracovian illustrator specialises in press illustrations, advertising and comics. He also designs book covers, murals, posters and patterns for fashion brands.

Conrad Festival 2019

The visuals for the 2019 Conrad Festival were prepared by Przemysław Dębowski, Cracovian graphic designer, illustrator and co-owner of the Karakter publishing house. Over the last 15 years, he has designed over 500 book covers for some of Poland’s largest publishers.
