Where There Is a Will, There Is a Way

"I am Theresia, a separated mother of five. I'm physically disabled and  work as a key cutter. I used money paid to pay for my children’s fees. The project has helped me move out of my shanty key cutting stall into a building and I also bought an advanced key cutting machine."

Help Met

"I am Christine, currently incarcerated. I was so grateful when Carakana brought this project into prisons because it has given me a means of supporting my husband to provide for our son. This is something he could never have imagined! "

Help In Time of Need

"My name is Liz and I am incarcerated.  Since I came here I have been feeling abandoned and demonized for the mistakes I made in my past but since I started stitching, it has been therapeutic. I am excited to start a business and have a fresh start thanks to Carakana."
