Ukrainian Village in Winter

Take a look at a Far East masterpiece

Ukrainian Village in the Winter (1920) by Viktor PalmovCFC Big Ideas in association with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy

The canvas was presented in 1920 at an exhibition in Japan organized by D. Burlyuk and V. Palmov with the support of the Russian Telegraph Agency (ROST).

According to some evidence, the paintings were created in the area of Zeleny Klyn in the Far East, where a large Ukrainian community lived from the beginning of the 20th century.

The painting now belongs to the collection of the National Cultural, Artistic, and Museum Complex Art Arsenal (Mystetskyi Arsenal). Until 2015, it was part of the collection of Ukrainian art critic, artist, and collector Ihor Dychenko.
