Archaeology Gallery
This gallery illustrates outstanding archaeological objects from the Paleolithic era to Unified Silla period (AD 936) at the Korean peninsula: pottery, jewelry, armors, tools and weapons etc. It is interesting to note that the collection is uniquely important for the museum history because so much of it comes from documented excavations undertaken by the museum staffs from 1970s to 2000s. In so doing, the large topological series of objects above provide a unique insight into how people have lived and died near the Nakdong River.

Ceramics Gallery
This gallery provides outstanding works of ceramic art, ranging from Goryeo celadon – jade-colored graze pottery and inlaid pottery-, to grayish-blue-powdered celadon and white porcelain of Joseon Dynasty (from the late 9th century to the 19th century). In particular, the pottery in the Korean peninsula was made by firing clay at high temperatures in a kiln and also considered as one of the Korean masterpieces, due to its unique decorations and styles.

Tiles and Bricks Gallery
This gallery exhibits a variety of bricks and roof-tiles from the 5th century to the 19th century. In fact, most housing style in the Korean peninsula took two particular forms: tile-roofed house for the upper class and thatched-roofed house for the public. Roof-tiles were really useful to prevent the timbers of wooden house from being decayed as well as to illustrate the particular design to defeat the evil. Bricks were mainly used to construct the tombs or houses, but its style is not like Western bricks.
