Einblick in die Skulpturensammlung
Die Entwicklung von Skulptur und Plastik beschreibt, wie auch die der Bildkünste, im ausgehenden 19. und beginnenden 20. Jahrhundert keine lineare Entwicklung, sondern setzt sich aus einem Nebeneinander unterschiedlicher Strömungen und künstlerischer Tendenzen zusammen. Der gesellschaftliche Wandel, kulturelle Impulse und die politischen Rahmenbedingungen potenzieren die Diversität und beschleunigen die Veränderungen.
Zwischen 1895 und 1920 vollzogen sich die wichtigsten Umwälzungsprozesse, die in der Sammlung des Landesmuseums an ausgewählten Werken sichtbar werden.
