It all started when...
her younger sister Ava discovered an extraordinary abstract piece tucked away in her room.
Tara's work reflects...
her loud, charismatic and joyful personality.
Her confident bold strokes, the bright colours and the swiftness with which she paints all represent Tara.
Tara wants everyone to know...
that being non-verbal doesn't mean not having a personality, an opinion or the ability to live a fulfilled life.
Tara has a strong, assertive personality, many friendships and a plethora of interests and hobbies - just like any other woman her age (perhaps even more!).
There is so much more to communication than...
just verbal communication. Tara interacts and has close relationships with many people, communicating her thoughts and feelings through emotion, gestures -
- and art!
therapy, creativity, freedom in a world that continuously restricts neurodivergent people, an emotional outlet and a voice.
