Gastroartology®: Metamorphosis I Metamorphosis Variations I

The students of the Gastroartology® course at Yeditepe University's Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts use a fresh perspective while looking at kitchen supplies, having the concept of metamorphosis as their starting point. Metamorphosis is the concept of transformation of a living being into another. Transformation, or shapeshifting, is also a concept that is discovered by visual artists and adopted as a method frequently.

Under the supervision of Painter Prof. Gülveli Kaya, students experience the fact that they have to change their perspectives in order to think outside the box. Bell peppers present us with such amazing shapes that we encounter different shapes depending our cutting method, horizontally or vertically. Each new shape is a new word, and each new word is an expression. Just like the arrangements we will have with those new shapes.
