The students of the Gastroartology® course at Yeditepe University's Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts use a fresh perspective while looking at kitchen supplies, having the concept of metamorphosis as their starting point. Metamorphosis is the concept of transformation of a living being into another. Transformation, or shapeshifting, is also a concept that is discovered by visual artists and adopted as a method frequently.

Students of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Yeditepe University develop their abilities to think and evaluate beyond the real functions and meanings of foods with these applications. Prof. Gülveli Kaya always notes that imagining foods that evoke a feeling of taste as objects that are appealing to one's eye is the starting point for dreaming. Pieces of bell peppers of various colors are matched not only in terms of shapes but also in colors. As in this photograph, there seems to be no conscious arrangement, yet the use of colors make this photograph striking. Also, if we look closer, we will realize that the effect increases exponentially.
