Archaeological Museum of the I. Krypiakevych Institute
It was opened on 29 October 2001 in the historic building of the Shevchenko Scientific Society at 24 Vynnychenka Street in Lviv.
The collections of the Shevchenko Scientific Society Museum included several tens of thousands of unique exhibits from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.
The exhibition halls are dedicated to the great historical epochs - from the Paleolithic to the late Middle Ages and modern times. The materials exhibited in them represent archaeological monuments of different periods of time in western Ukraine.

The Leader's Wand

The discovery belongs to a series of so-called "wands of leaders" - Palaeolithic artefacts made of reindeer antler discovered in the seventh cultural layer of the Molodove V site.

Ceramic Pysanka (Easter egg) XII-XIII centuries

Pysanka making in Ukraine dates back to the Princely Age, or even earlier. Most of the ancient ceramic pysankas discovered date back to the eleventh and twelfth enturies. They were used as amulets.

Kalataltse in the form of a hollow bird figure on a leg in ancient burials are apotropaea and have a symbolic meaning associated with the belief in the reincarnation of the souls of the dead and the idea of rebirth.
