St. George's Cathedral by SkeironSkeiron

St George's Cathedral was founded in the early XV century

Its construction lasted for many decades. The cathedral combines elements of various architectural styles, such as Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque.

The cathedral is famous for its architectural composition

The main tower of the cathedral, which reaches a height of over 65 metres, is known for its exquisite ornamentation and detailing. Also worth noting is the interior decoration of the cathedral, including stained glass windows, statues and the famous astronomical clock.

Coming here, a traveller can see the works of almost all the masters of the Baroque in one place: in addition to the cathedral building, one will find a carved iconostasis by Sebastian Fessinger, and stone sculptures by Johann Georg Pinsel himself!
