Nyzhniosulskyi National Nature Park got its name from the Sula River, in the lower valley where the park is located.
The park stretches over two regions – Poltava and Cherkasy.
It has a unique landscape consisting of endless islands and little streams that create a magnificent lace-like river valley.
Such a landscape makes the park a perfect place for water tourism, recreational and sport fishing, and swimming.
The Sula River is also an important place for fish and wetland birds, which use it as a stopover during seasonal migrations.
