The Old school in Brankovina
The Old school in Brankovina, according to the school yearbook, was built in 1836 as a massive, single- story building, with rectangular base whose dimensions are 11.5 х 13.65 m. It looked like a big country house. Traditionally, the Old school was called “Prota’s school”, probably because of his endeavors in spreading literacy and education, although the name “Prota’s” actually refers to the private school which Prota Mateja founded in his home in 1830.
