The archeological display exhibits objects created in the period from the Early Stone Age to the Middle Ages. The area of ​​Northern Banat was a transit area in prehistoric times, and no culture and people stayed in these areas for long. The reason was swampy and inaccessible land. Nevertheless, numerous objects from the daily life of people: tools, weapons, vessels and jewelry, discovered in the localities of Mokrin, Ostojićevo, Podlokanj and Iđoš, testify to the life of people around Kikinda.

For the youngest visitors in the museum, the Club is open - a space for research, fun and learning. In it, through various contents, children discover local heritage and spend quality free time. In the Club, they can find out more about the mammoth, the small woodpecker, Suvača and other identities of the city, as well as about the museum's collections.

On the historical display dedicated to the origin of the city, the most prominent place is occupied by the Velikokikindа District Flag from 1867. The historical display dedicated to wars displays flags, weapons, helmets, flasks, as well as written sources and photographs, objects that bear witness to war times and rebellions. The display dedicated to the development of the city displays objects that evoke the cultural and economic boom in the second half of the 19th century.

The museum's ethnological collection is represented by the interior of a Banat house and with exposed furniture, furnishings, clothes and costumes, it depicts the daily life of people in Banat a hundred years ago. Models of houses testify to the folk architecture in these areas, and various agricultural tools and tools used by artisans testify to the work done by the people. A special place is occupied by the model of the Suvača - the Banat plain mill.

Reconstruction of the biological cabinet and an old pharmacy. As part of the permanent exhibition, school supplies that were once used in high school biology classes are on display: posters, models of plants, ores and minerals, various animals in formalin, microscopes... In this room, the history of pharmacy in Kikinda is presented through an exhibition of pharmacy furniture and items for measuring, preparing and storing medicines.

A corridor with a display of works of art. The contemporary art scene of Kikinda is presented as part of the permanent exhibition. Among the academic creators are Zdravko Mandić, Mirko Daljev, Radivoj Berbakov, Milorad S. and others. Each artist is presented with one piece.

The ceremonial hall is located in the museum building and hosts concerts, literary evenings, conferences and lectures.

Kurija - Building of The Magistrate of the Great Kikinda District built in 1839 where the court and the prison were settled until the middle of XX century. Nowadays, The Historic Archives and The National Museum of Kikinda are located here.  Museum was founded 1946.

Memorandum of Bohn brick factory. "Bohn M. & Co" concern was the largest brick company in Austria-Hungary. The founder  Michael Bohn (1864-1930), son of Stefan Bohn, is considered as one of the most important Kikinda businessmen of all time.

Flag of Great Kikinda District. The flag created in 1800 was taken by Kikinda soldiers - soldiers of Austrian Army in the war against Napoleon. The flag was kept in the orthodox church but it was lost during the rebellion in 1848.

1. Кind of owl characterized by a phenomenon that it forms winter flocks. In Kikinda, in the town square, 743 individuals where noted, representing a record ever found in the world! 2.Тypical bird of the planes, one of the largest flying birds in Europe. The only remaining habitat of Otis tarda in Serbia is in the fields among Mokrin, Jazovo and Sajan villages, so in 1977 a special nature reservation "Pastures of Otis tarda" was proclaimed. The natural object is part of the Kikinda Gymnasium.
