The composition of Black and white that tells a story each in a different way that should be appreciated not just by artistic eyes but by everyone.
This portrays a baby and the composition of light and contrast is what truly amazes me and draws me towards this piece.
Orchid, Robert Mapplethorpe, 1985, From the collection of: SCAD Museum of Art
Outside the color scheme what impresses me and drew me toward this picture is its simplicity. It seems overlooked because it seems to portray just a flower, but i see a complex mix of ideas.
Portrait of two girls, George Gregory (photographer), 1905-1906, From the collection of: Te Papa
I love the color contrast the black and white really makes us focus on the subject which are the two girls and the table
Black Court Dress of Empress Elisabeth ("Sisi"), Fanny Scheiner, 1880/1890, From the collection of: Imperial Carriage Museum
I really loved the design on the dress...the focus on the subject is als exquisite
The simplicity of this work is awesome. It means what it is and has no hidden message. It is also very easy to understand
Black Widow Spider, Andreas Feininger, 1943-08, From the collection of: LIFE Photo Collection
I like spiders. This picture of the black widow is really awesome and the focus on the spider is on point
Black Footed Ferret, Prairie Dog Delmarva Squirrel, Kangaroo Rat Harvest Mouse, Nina Leen, From the collection of: LIFE Photo Collection
I love the creativity concept of this work. The ferret was well captured at a good time and the black and white composition really helps focus on the subject too
The Beginning of Afro-Chic, CarrieMaeWeems, 2008, From the collection of: SCAD Museum of Art
This piece shows a negro lady who became a star. I believe it tells a story just by looking at it.
Abstract, Londrina, PR. Brazil, Ohara, Haruo, 1969, From the collection of: Instituto Moreira Salles
I like this work because of the illusion it causes and the fact that it is in black and white. If you look at it carefully it looks like they both overlap each other.
I love the composition of this piece. It has lots of meanings to it even though it looks like meaningless scribbles.
