The Selena Museum
The Selena Museum is the only official museum to honor the life and legacy of Selena Quintanilla (1971-1995), one of the most celebrated Mexican-American artists and entertainers in history and often named the "Queen of Tejano Music." The museum was established by the Quintanilla family in 1998 in response to fans expressing their desire to have Selena's memorabilia shared with the public. It is currently housed in the main building of their company Q productions. The Quintanilla family offers the museum as a memorial to the achievements and life of their beloved daughter & sister. Located in Selena's hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas, the museum has become one of the top tourist attractions in South Texas and attracts visitors from throughout the country and around the globe. The museum gives fans and visitors a rich and unique glimpse into the life of the Tejano icon, including her most prized posessions, iconic stage outfits, awards, photos, fan art, and other memorabilia.

SOCH Outreach Foundation
SOCH Outreach is an initiative by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy to empower Pakistanis through visual arts and education. Our vision is to invest in developing enlightened and responsible citizens, equipping them with the critical thinking skills to make informed decisions about their lives. Our mission is to create a unique platform that provides access to film and filmmaking for marginalized and underserved communities across Pakistan, by running Mobile Cinema and School Outreach programs and offering workshops and training on film production and other related skills. SOCH Outreach is also dedicated to elevating the status of women and creating awareness about their rights. We are committed to using storytelling and film to build a more just and equitable Pakistan for all. All content on this website has been gathered, curated, and documented through a series of interviews, following oral history traditions. Families and communities from Pakistan and the diaspora generously shared their inherited and lived knowledge and traditions. The featured recipes are likewise derived from handwritten and memory-based narratives.
