Index maps show the total areas covered during the flights, which were carried out by the Mexican company, Aerofoto.

Each of the transverse lines indicate the flight path and the intervals correspond to the images taken.

This tool allowed the technicians to determine the range of coverage taking into account the dimensions of Mexico City in 1936.

The scales that were used allowed technicians to measure the distance separating the elements in a map in relation to the real surface area.

Within the map distinct references were included, such as districts, streets, hills, which allowed a better reviewing process of the images.
