Herbaceous plant similar to the snowdrop, with which it shares the belonging to the same family (Amaryllidaceae), the environments in which it grows and the flowering period. For this reason it is also called a fake snowdrop. The stem develops from an underground bulb up to a height of about 30 cm. At the end, rarely two mature flowers hang with round corolla and white tepals all the same and spotted with green at the apex.
