Still life "Watermelon, carrots, flowers"' was created in 1951 by Kateryna Bilokur in Naïve Art (Primitivism) style.
Peonies were one of Kateryna Bilokur's favorite flowers - she painted them throughout her life.
In several paintings of the 1950s, Bilokur seemed to plunge the stems, leaves and flowers of fully bloomed peonies into dense darkness.
